Başak Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. is a vertically integrated ready-to-wear manufacturer founded in 1996 and based in the Çaycuma Organised Industrial Zone in Zonguldak, with a second plant at the Tosya OIZ in Kastamonu and a business-development, warehouse and design operation in Esenyurt, İstanbul. The company makes men's, women's and children's apparel on a full-package basis and also produces its own knitted and woven fabric, with in-house dyeing and printing, so that an order can run from fabric through to finished garment inside the group. Its İstanbul design studio, opened in 2015, takes styles from drawing to sewing, and total owned enclosed area across the Çaycuma and Tosya sites is given as 30,000 m². The firm lists LC Waikiki, Carrefour, New Yorker, Primark, TK Maxx, Desigual, Matalan and Orcey as customers on its own references page — a company claim rather than customs-verified evidence.
