Gallus is a vertically integrated knit fabric and polo shirt producer in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul, serving the high-end ready-to-wear market. Founded in 1942 as "Önder Gömlek Evi" making woven men's shirts, it moved into knit fabric production and took the Gallus name in the 1990s. Knitting, cutting, sewing and packaging are run in-house, and the company states it uses only natural fibres — cotton, silk, linen, wool and cashmere — excluding petroleum-based synthetics.
