Japanese apparel manufacturer based in Naruto-shi, Tokushima, founded November 1959. Describes itself on its own site as 'an apparel manufacturer with a global network and wide-ranging capabilities', doing 'planning and manufacturing of children's wear, lady's wear, men's wear, underwear, etc., and sales to mass retailers and specialty stores'. Production runs through its own integrated Bangladesh plant (Maruhisa Pacific Co., Ltd.), which combines knitting, dyeing, printing and sewing in one facility with roughly 1,850 staff and about 750,000 garments a month. Develops its own knit and functional fabrics, including cotton dyed with colours extracted from flowers and fruits, and runs its own childrenswear brand 'ever closet'. Listed on HKTDC with business nature 'Manufacturer'.
