About

Fonem Tekstil is an Istanbul-based knitwear-accessory manufacturer that began production in 1995 and professionalized under the FONEM brand in 2000. Based in the İkitelli Organized Industrial Zone (Başakşehir), it produces knitted accessories - beanies, caps, scarves, shawls, headbands, gloves and socks - for men, women and children, with in-house design and a full make chain (pattern making, material sourcing, cutting, sewing, washing/treatments). Daily production capacity is 6,000-8,000 pieces, scalable on demand. The company expanded into Europe/UK from 2017-2018 (Belgian operation, Fonem Europe) and introduced a sustainable/recyclable-material collection in 2019. It supplies European brands and wholesalers on a private-label/white-label basis and sells B2C via Fonem Store and Turkish marketplaces (Trendyol, N11, Hepsiburada).
